Java EE 5 – check !

I just heard that JBoss AS 5 CR2 is out (download, release notes). This is an important milestone as it passes the Java EE 5 TCK – we’ve been bouncing around the 99% mark for some time so it’s good to finally get over the line. While most of the key features of Java EE 5 (EJB3, JAX-WS, JSF) have been in JBoss AS for a long time – it’s nonetheless nice to have the official stamp of approval. Kudos to all those involved – I can’t imagine TCK compliance testing is a huge amount of fun.
Now we just need another push to complete the productization process for the supported version that we’ll include in JBoss EAP 5.0. You can read more in Sacha’s blog.
